| HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY! "At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom..." Prime Minister Nehru's words give us goosebumps even after 73 years of freedom. For some its just a holiday, for others it symbolizes a free, independent and strong India. An India where the faces of our heroes change with times. Today, they have taken the face of doctors, nurses, essential workers who are keeping the country safe and healthy. But what hasn’t changed is our fighting spirit and unity in times of adversity!
So today our Principal, DR. SAVITA ARORA alongwith teachers, staff members, and frontline essential workers would like to wish you all a HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!

| Saluting our unsung heroes on Kargil Day! Kargil Vijay Diwas commemorates India's victory of "Operation Vijay" in 1999. Today, BPS indulged in a heart-to-heart conversation with MR. HUTANSH VERMA who deployed the Artist in him to serve the nation's frontline heroes, our soldiers.
Mr. Hutansh paints and delivers portraits to families of over 65 soldiers who lost their lives in the Kargil war, free of cost. He makes Portraits of Patriots to express gratitude for a sacrifice that benefited the nation then and continues to do so till date!
He says, "you don't have to wear a uniform with stars to serve the country" but actions taken at an individual level can help serve the country in every little way.
For us, Mr. Hutansh Verma is a hero without a cape!

“ Health is a state of complete harmony of the body, mind and spirit “Keeping the same standpoint and to facilitate students to experience the beauty of yoga , environment and humanity; a 3-day event (18 – 20 May 2017) ‘ Spark Of Yoga ‘ was organized in the school premises. With the spirit of optimism and delight, the guest of honour,Swami Harshanand, senior monk of the Ramakrishna Order; exuded his warm mesmeric presence amid the congregation of the Principal, Ms. Savita Arora, Director Mr. Rajesh Batra, staff members and students.Bringing to light the time tested benefits of Yoga; Swami Ji enlightened the camp with his inspiring and august presence. Thereafter, Swami Ji tutored the students with the nature of Yoga which ignited the light of self-awareness in all.During the interactive session, the gathering enjoyed various physical exercises and asanas. Students were also sensitized towards the Environmental issues and the channelization of the Panchtatvas. Swami Ji not only focused on the health parameters but also propagated the need of clean environment and its impact on health. Activating participation of youth in the protection of environment and prudent use of natural resources was the main objective of the session. Swamiji also stressed the importance of laughter in one’s life. Gathering was even made accountable by taking the pledge for conservation of water and planting of trees. As the name of Swami Ji suggests the session was full of HARSH and ANAND, and the session was encompassed with the echoes of the laughter of the students. The sessions rejuvenated all of us and made us realise the importance of the need to take a halt in the rat running race of life and ponder about our health and environment.
